Otion® Swim is a coming together of two bright minds that have always wanted to help people go faster. Dan Bullock has been swim coaching since the 90s and was a competitive swimmer before that. While Simon Smart is the founder of Drag2Zero, and is recognised as one of the first people to bring aerodynamnics to the general bike riding public.

SIMON SMART

Simon has been recognised as one of the most influential engineers/designers in the cycling and triathlon world.  Using his F1 engineering background he is responsible for the design of a number of record breaking products. He’s also been able to help some of the highest performing pro athletes go faster.

  • Using state of the art wind tunnels, CFD analysis packages and rapid prototyping techniques Simon analyses how air flow impacts products and riders. This allows him to design the most optimised bike products.
  • Aerodynamically designed some of the highest performing bikes in the world – including the 2008 GIANT TRINITY, the SCOTT PLASMA (3-7) and Scott Foil.
  • He has worked in partnership with ENVE Composites to develop the enormously successful SMART ENVE SYSTEM range of aero wheels and components.
  • Working with Endura he created the record breaking Silicone Surface Technology. This was used in numerous hour record breaking attempts and was eventually banned by the UCI for being too fast!
  • Commissioning various wind tunnels and designing the instrumentation for the latest state of the art wind tunnel built by FUSION clothing in Denmark
